With a long history in manufacturing, Derek knows how to find ways to increase productivity.
Way back in the 1980s, his main customer was the British retail chain Argos, who repeatedly ordered more and more products from him. With finite manufacturing space, equipment and staff, the only way he could supply their orders on time was to increase his company’s productivity—and that meant getting much more out of what he already had.
This, as Derek notes, was equally necessary for the administrative side of the business:
“I’ve often noticed during my business career that while many companies invest significant amounts in machinery for the shop floor, there is a real lack of investment in the office, specifically administration.”
To this end, RapidSpec was born.
